Frequently Asked Questions
Join us for our next Fremont County Women Who Care meeting on Wednesday, August 14th, from 5:30-6:30 PM at The Hive, 729 Main Street. We're excited to announce that Coming Home Realty will be sponsoring this event!
At the meeting, we will be accepting nominations for local nonprofits, drawing three nominations at random, and voting to decide which organization will receive our collective support. We will also hear an update from our May recipient, Kindred Kids.
New members are always welcome! If you're passionate about making a difference in our community, we encourage you to attend.
How does a non-profit get chosen to receive donations?
At each meeting, members of Fremont County Women Who Care write their non-profit nominations on a piece of paper. From these nominations, three non-profits are chosen. The Fremont County Women Who Care member who nominated the chosen non-profits then have 5 minutes to tell the group why their non-profit should be chosen to receive funds. After this, members vote on which non-profit they want to receive the donations.
The non-profit who receives the most votes from Fremont County Women Who Care members is the organization who will receive the donations for that quarter.
